Throwing off all restraint, Box Office Mojo predicts that 'Fifty Shades of Grey' will 'dominate' this Valentine's weekend

Forecast: 'Fifty Shades' to Dominate Valentine's Day Box Office.  (Box Office Mojo, 2/12/2015)
The long-awaited big-screen adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey is poised to set a handful of box office records when it hits theaters this weekend.

Box office records being threatened
  • Biggest President Day's weekend ever.
  • Biggest R-rated opening ever.  (Record currently held by The Hangover II.)
  • Biggest Valentine's Day earnings. (Record currently held by 2010's Valentine's Day with $23,400,000)

The American Family Association is recommending Old Fashioned as an alternative to Fifty Shades of Grey.

It currently has a 25% on the Tomatometer, slightly worse than the 33% for 'Fifty Shades'.
