How Do Wisconsin Public Library Systems Compare to the Bergen County Cooperative Library System?

Excerpt: Circulation in Wayne and throughout the BCCLS consortium has dropped since 2009. That year, throughout the BCCLS system circulation reached a peak of 12.4 million, White said. It has dropped to about 11.6 million in 2012. And in Wayne, circulation has dropped from more than 536,000 since 2009 to more than 479,000 in 2012.

A 6.5% drop in circulation for the Bergen County Cooperative Library System.

An overall 2.4% increase in circulation at South Central Library System member libraries.

An overall 0.34% decrease in circulation at Milwaukee County Federated Library System member public libraries.

And a look at two primarily rural public library systems.


An overall 6.3% increase in circulation at Northern Waters Library Service member public libraries.

An overall increase in circulation at Southwest Wisconsin Library System member public libraries.
