Link to July 11 Green Bay Press-Gazette article, "Club helps mothers, daughters bond through books".

Excerpt: Chappell Elementary School has teamed with Barnes & Noble and the Women's Fund of Greater Green Bay to help foster a love of reading and strengthen mother-daughter relationships.

Kelly Schweda teaches an all-girl class of fourth- and fifth-graders at Chappell Elementary, the only one of its kind in the area.

Because of her unique opportunity, she wanted a way to not only promote literacy but also make connections with the girls and their families. Schweda looked to form a book club in which students and their mothers or other women in their lives could connect over literature and discussion.

She developed the idea from a school curriculum called "Girls' Circle," which is designed to improve problem solving and confidence among young girls
