Position Announcement: Library Executive Director, Community Library, Salem Wisconsin

The Board of Trustees of the Community Library is seeking an experienced administrator with the energy, vision, passion, integrity and commitment to quality library service in southeast Wisconsin. The director is responsible for strategic planning, budget preparation and administration, program development and implementation, and personnel management and development. A successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills and leadership ability, be innovative, and be able to work productively with local officials from five funding municipalities as well as with the Board, staff, and community groups. Financial and personnel management expertise, knowledge of library technology, and strong organizational skills are a necessity. The Director must have a Master’s Degree in Library Science, with 6 to 9 years of progressively responsible professional experience in public libraries. Salary is negotiable.
