ive people were detained by federal immigration authorities at two laundromats in southern Madison on Tuesday, the owners said.
Roger and Nancy Hansen, owners of Little Big Load Laundromat, said three people were detained at the Fish Hatchery Road location and two were detained at the Todd Drive location Tuesday afternoon.
The arrests were part of a series of detentions across the state starting over the weekend. An immigration rights group said at least 10 people were detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the Madison area, and ICE made 39 arrests in the state, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
