Conservative candidates for governor and state Supreme Court appeared at political events last week with a prominent 2020 election denier, drawing criticism from Democrats who accused them of campaigning with a conspiracy theorist. 

State Appeals Court Judge Maria Lazar, who is running in the 2026 Supreme Court race, and U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany, a GOP candidate for governor, both attended the Republican Party of Brown County Lincoln Reagan Trump Dinner on Oct. 24 featuring Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump's first national security advisor.
