Although vastly outnumbered, Republicans in Dane County still constitute a potent political force, political experts and party leaders say. Hoping to remind supporters of the power of their vote, the party wants GOP voters to know that they are not alone.
“It’s about getting the message out there that there are so many Republicans here, you don’t have to be afraid to be one,” said Brandon Maly, chair of the Republican Party of Dane County.
And if you go back to 1984, the number of Democratic votes in Dane County increased 175% while the number of Republican votes increased a measly 5% by 2020.
