What's the matter with Iowa? Fallout after electing incompetents into office

But Iowa parents and caregivers say Iowa's system still sorely lacks funding and resources for children, and they're desperate for therapeutic residential beds, effective long-term treatment and therapy, and respite care. 
Officials at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, which oversees the state’s behavioral health system, its child welfare programs and the administration of its privatized Medicaid program, declined Watchdog requests for interviews on the issue and how they're addressing it. A spokesperson for Reynolds, who has repeatedly said fixing Iowa's fractured behavioral health system is a top priority, did not respond.
