Bard finds both songs "beautiful" and "haunting", as I'm sure many other listeners do. His reviews, of course, are pretty much boilerplate.
Bard stumbles, though, when providing a couple of facts about "Never My Love".
First of all, the song was written by the Don and Dick Addrisi, not the "husband-and-wife team Randy Sparks and Jules Shear". Sparks is the founder of the New Christy Minstrels ("Green, Green"). Shear was 15 years old in 1967. He is best known for the song "All Through the Night" by Cyndi Lauper, which reached the top 10 in 1984
Secondly, although "Never My Love" spent 8 weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, it never reached #1.
