Considerable discussion about this project took place at the 5/9/2023 Middleton Plan Commission meeting, which resulted in the following motion:

Moved by Erdmann-Hermans, seconded by Janairo, to determine that the application is consistent with the City’s comprehensive plan and to grant the conditional use permit allowing a building on this site (in the southwest quadrant of the existing parcel) to extend up to a height of seven stories contingent on Common Council adoption of the rezoning ordinance and the applicant satisfying all the associated contingencies of approval. Motion passed 6-1 (Bruce opposed).
