GET ME REWRITE: Kari the Clown, Arizona queen of election deniers, throws an errant Hail Mary in desperation

Lake pointed to new polling from Rasmussen Reports that found 51 percent of Arizona voters who said they had voted in the governor's race had cast their ballots for Lake, while 43 percent said they had voted for Hobbs.

The pollsters blew their predictions of the Arizona Governor's race.  Real Clear Politics polling averages had Republican Kari Lake winning by 3.5 percentage points. Democratic Katie Hobbs won by a razor-thin 0.6 percentage point margin. 

One pollster, Insider Advantage, had Lake winning by 11 points.  The poll was released two weeks before the election.

But don't tell any of this to FiveThirtyEight.  They're too busy being defensive about their profession.  They even cut Trafalgar some slack, giving them an overall grade of B in their just-revised ratings.
