2022 election results in Wisconsin's race for Governor: Waukesha County

Sources:  20182022

Waukesha County -- one of the "W's" in "WOW" (Waukesha/ Ozaukee/Washington), is red, but not as much as it used to be.  With a population of 408,756, Waukesha County is Wisconsin's 3rd largest.

Let's take a look at the numbers.

In the 2018 gubernatorial election, Scott Walker received 144,699 votes, 66.1% of the total.

In 2022, Tim Michels received 134,119 votes, 7% fewer than Walker.

Meanwhile, Tony Evers improved on his vote totals -- from 72,131 (32.6%) to 88,554 (39.5%). That's an increase of 23% and nearly 7 percentage points.

Look as though Waukesha County is incrementally moving to the left on this color scheme.

Think this is a fluke?
