GET ME REWRITE: Wisconsin Republicans allow PFAs regulations they weakened to go into effect only to threaten to suspend them

Keep this churlishness in mind when you vote this November.

Headline:  Wisconsin State Journal, 6/13/2022
The Legislature’s Republican-controlled Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules has no objections to the regulations and will allow the Department of Natural Resources to implement them, Mike Mikalsen, an aide to committee co-chair Sen. Steve Nass [pictured above], told The Associated Press.
Mikalsen warned that the committee could suspend the standards if the department doesn’t lawfully implement them, but the decision marks a rare Republican concession to Evers.  [emphasis added]
Since taking office in 2019, Evers has been working to limit contamination from the compounds, which have been linked to cancer and other illnesses.
