"Five Years" opens side 1 of David Bowie's acclaimed 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. It debuted inauspiciously at #196 on the Billboard Top 200 album for the week ending June 17, 1972, and spent 75 weeks on the chart, though it only peaked at #75. It is now considered one of the best, if not THE best album of 1972. Still as fresh as it was 50 years ago.
