Dane County Covid-19 UPDATE: Daily average of new cases increases 62% during last 2 week of March

It might have something to do with testing.  Dane County has less than 10% of the state's population but comprises nearly 20% of its average daily number of tests.  (Trump offered a solution when he tried to wish away the virus in 2020.)

Buffalo County has the highest percentage increase among the top 10 counties.

Dane County ranks 2nd on the New York Times Wisconsin Covid hit parade.

Nonetheless, Dane County's daily average of new cases is as low as it's been since early November 2021 and down 97.5% since its January 22 peak.

4/1/2022 update, "Even though its Covid numbers are way down, Dane County remains among leaders among counties with highest rate per 100,000 population", starts here

Daily average of new cases is down 98% since its January 20 peak.

Just 2 counties have a higher rate of Covid spread than Dane.  Buffalo and Pepin counties also have the state's highest hospitalization rate, while Dane's is in the midrange.
