Wisconsin 2022 elections: Who will run in the 29th Senate District now that Jerry Petrowski is retiring?

 

Jerry Petrowski served in the 86th Assembly District from January 1999 to June 2012, when he was elected to the State Senate in a special election. 

The 29th Senate District is solidly Republican.

Petrowski was elected to the state Assembly in 1998 and to the state Senate in 2012. His district includes portions of six northern Wisconsin counties, including Marathon, Wood, Clark, Taylor, Rusk and Sawyer. 
“While I have enjoyed my time in both the Assembly and the Senate, there are still so many things left that I want to accomplish,” Petrowski said in his announcement. “I look forward to the next chapter in my life and being able to spend more time with my wife, children, and grandchildren.”
