2020 U.S. Census: After 7 decades of decline, Buffalo records an increase in population

Buffalo's population increased 270% from 1880 to 1930.  After its 1950 peak, the city experienced a 55% decrease in population during the next 70 years, an average of 45,546 residents per decade.  The biggest declines occurred during the 1960s and 1970s.
