As for the lack of a public campaign, [Dane County Republican Party chair Scott] Grabins noted that candidates in smaller local races might opt for knocking on doors and community events in place of social media or a website.
“Frankly, the way social media has gone lately, having a Facebook page or a Twitter account in some ways, I think, that can be more of a minefield than it’s even worth,” Grabins said.Translation: We told these candidates to erase their identities. They need to fly under the radar to have any chance to get elected.
