The opening sentence in Boyd's original post belies his follow-up weasel words.

The population of Mitchell County and its county seat Colorado City both peaked in 1950.  The county's population has declined 40% since then, the city's by 43%.  

Hispanics and Latinos comprise 31% of the county population.  Nearly 20% of county residents live in poverty.

Mitchell County is ialso Trumpier than it was in 2016, the disgraced former president boosting his vote total by 22%.  Must have been a polling station at the county graveyard?
