Full vote tally found at U.S. Senate

Washington Post, 2/23/2021
The upper chamber took an initial step, voting 78 to 20 to elevate Linda Thomas-Greenfield to ambassador status, with Democrats and moderate Republicans praising her decades of experience serving under presidents of both parties.  (Unlike the members of the Crying Babies Nursery Caucus shown above.)  A second vote to make her “representative of the United States of America to the Sessions of the General Assembly of the United Nations” was 78 to 21.

Alabama, Florida, and Tennessee go 2-for-2.  The names of those who also voted against Yellen's and Blanken's confirmations are marked with an asterisk.  Keep these bozos in mind.  Four of them plan to run for president in 2024.

Roll Call, 2/2/2021
Buttigieg, 39, a veteran who served as an intelligence officer for the Navy Reserves, will be among the first openly gay Cabinet secretaries in U.S. history and the first openly gay person to be confirmed by the Senate to hold a Cabinet-level position, according to the LGBTQ rights group the Human Rights Campaign.
“This confirmation breaks through a barrier that has existed for too long; where LGBTQ identity served as an impediment to nomination or confirmation at the highest level of government,” said HRC President Alphonso David. “Let this important moment for our movement serve as a reminder to every LGBTQ young person: you too can serve your country in any capacity you earn the qualifications to hold.”

 The naysayers, mapped.
