Jamie made his first appearance in 1904, but it wasn't until 1938 when he remain on the baby names chart without any interruptions. His popularity took off in the 1950s, and he eventually spent 9 years (1971-79) in the top 100, peaking at #62 in 1975 and 1976.  He's been in decline ever since.
