GET ME REWRITE: Kent and Oakland counties doomed Trump's re-election chances in Michigan

In 2016, Trump beat Clinton by a mere 10,704 votes.

In 2020, Joe Biden flipped the state by a margin of 154,188 votes

Helping to pave the way....

Kent County is one of 3 Michigan counties that flipped from Trump to Biden in 2020.   Trump won the county by 9,497 votes in 2016.  Biden beat Trump by 22,174 votes, more than enough to erase the Democrats' deficit in 2016.

In  the suburban Detroit county of Oakland, Biden received 91,067 more votes than Clinton did in 2016.  He received 108,177 more than Trump -- 10 times more than what was needed to erase a 2016 deficit.
