And how has the coal industry fared under Trump?
  • 145 coal-burning units at 75 power plants idled, additional 
  • 73 power plants announced plans to close additional coal-burning units with 10 years
  • estimated 20%  of power generated in U.S. in 2020 is from coal, compared to 31% in 2017.
  • coal production dropped by 775 million tons in 2017 to an estimated 511 tons in 2020
  • 5,300 coal mining jobs (10%) eliminated since 2017
