On the day of the interview, Iowa had 3,924 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Twenty-five days later, the number of cases has reached 14,955 -- an increase of nearly 300%. Iowa currently ranks 13th among the 50 states in total cases among 100,000 people, ahead of such coastal states as California and Washington.
