The suburbs turn against Matt Bevin in 2019 Kentucky gubernatorial election


Kenton County.  In 2019, Democratic candidate for governor Andy Beshear received 107% more votes than Jack Conway in 2015.  Republican candidate Matt Bevin received 5,706 more votes than Conway in 2015 but 543 fewer votes than Beshear in 2019.

Four years ago, too, the Republican candidate for governor, Matt Bevin, carried the conservative Kentucky suburbs south of Cincinnati; this time around, two of those three counties broke for the Democratic candidate, Andy Beshear.
Campbell County.  In 2019, Democratic candidate for governor Andy Beshear received 98% more votes than Jack Conway in 2015.  Republican candidate Matt Bevin received 2,413 more votes than Conway in 2015 but 1,765 fewer votes than Beshear in 2019.
