Unfortunately, in her neck of the woods, Kat is not likely to garner much sympathy for her LGBTQ stance

Batavia is an unincorpated community in the Town of Scott in southwestern Sheboygan County.

Schism over United Methodist Church's LGBTQ stance reflected during confirmation in Wisconsin church.  (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 6/2/2019)
On Sunday, four eighth graders sat shoulder to shoulder in the front row of Batavia Zion United Methodist Church during their confirmation ceremony. More than 100 friends and family members filled the wooden pews to celebrate with the teens as they publicly declared their Methodist faith.
But for one of the confirmands, the day took on a different meaning.
Kat Miller, 14, publicly declined to become a member of the United Methodist Church in light of its recent vote to uphold a ban on LGBTQ clergy and marriages.

Town of Scott overwhelmingly chose the homophobe in a recent Wisconsin Supreme Court election.  And they love Donald Trump.
