"Time of the Season" by the Zombies debuts on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending February 8, 1969

With "Time of the Season", the Zombies make their first appearance in the trip 10 since 1965.  It is also their final appearance.

In other chart action,  the Classics IV score their 3rd top ten single in a year.  It is their last big hit.

Three Dog Night makes its first-ever appearance on the Hot 100.  Lots more to come, as we now know.  On the other hand, Donovan, Brenda Lee, the Rascals, the Lovin' Spoonful, and Bobby Goldsboro have all moved beyond their hitmaking days.
