Delores Taylor, wife and 'Billy Jack' filmmaking partner of Tom Laughlin, dies at 85.  (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 3/28/2018)

"Billy Jack" opened in U.S. theaters on May 1, 1971.  It was the 5th highest-grossing movie of the year.

"One Tin Soldier (The Legend of Billy Jack)", by one-hit wonder Coven, debuted at #87 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending September 18, 1971.  It spent 12 weeks on the chart, peaking at #26, although in my memory it received enough radio airplay to seem like a top 10 hit.  Two reissues in 1973, a new recording and the original, generated little listener interest.
