Monticello, Iowa. New York Times joins the search for Trump's America, a very white place


Monticello, a community of 3,825 in eastern Iowa, is located in Jones County.  It is home to an impressive public library/civic center.

After voting for Obama in 2008 and 2012, the county went for Trump by nearly 20 percentage points in 2016.
