Get me rewrite: A helluva lot of Democrats avoid elections other than the quadrennial Presidential

672,908 Wisconsin Democratic voters in 2008 sat out the 2010 midterm election.

505,042 Wisconsin Democratic voters in 2012 sat out the 2014 midterm election.

It's not just a Wisconsin pattern. And it's one that can't be blamed solely on millenials.

2008-2010 drop in Democratic vote totals:  40.1%
2008-2010 drop in Republican vote totals:    8.2%
2012-2014 drop in Democratic vote totals:  31.2%
2012-2014 drop in Republican vote totals:  11.0%
