Wisconsin public libraries: Annual materials expenditures, books/serials added, AV added

All 3 categories show a slight uptick in 2015 compared to the previous year.
  • 1.4% - print
  • 0.3% - audiovisual
  • 1.5% - electronic

Book and serial volumes added has decreased 20/8% since its 2008 peak.

The gap between audio and video titles added per year continues to expand, which is a bit disappointing to me.

I can't remember the last time I checked out a video from a library.  My primary sources for recorded music nowadays are Sirius/XM, Spotify, and Luxuria.  On the other hand, I remain a big fan of books on CD, a physical format, and am currently listening to -- and greatly enjoying -- Anne Tyler's Vinegar Girl.
