Timeline of efforts to eliminate the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board


June 23, 2014.  Donald Trump donates $10,000 -- maximum allowed by law -- to Scott Walker.



October 27, 2014.  Federal court allows class-action suit against Trump to move forward.





February 3, 2015.  Scott Walker introduces his "Freedom and Prosperity" budget for the 2015-17 biennium.  His 1839-page proposal includes the elimination of the Educational Approval Board, whose responsibilities include overseeing for-profit schools in Wisconsin.



This particular item did not pass the scrutiny of the Joint Committee on Finance.


April 14, 20152015 Assembly Bill 163 is introduced by Rep. Joan Ballweg (R-Markesan) and  cosponsored by Sen. Roger Roth (R-Appleton)  and (former) Sen. Paul Farrow, who resigned after his election to the office of Waukesha County Executive in April 2015.





The bill died in committee.
