14 Republican legislators want to mess with Dane County's zoning authority

None of them live in Dane County, of course.

But thanks to redistricting, some of the sponsors of AB563 represent teensy portions of the county.

Officials differ on county zoning opt-out bill.  (Sun Prairie Star, 12/21/2015)
Yet another laser focus on job creation.  Assembly Bill 563 would allow towns to opt-out of county zoning ordinance and county development planning, a system that’s been in place since the 1930s. The Republican-sponsored bill would only apply to the state’s largest counties with populations over 485,000 (Dane and Milwaukee), but Milwaukee County doesn’t have any towns within its borders.

I'd especially like to hear Tom Larson (Colfax) and Adam Jarchow (Balsam Lake) explain themselves.  They both represent northwestern Wisconsin Assembly districts.
