A new series takes a look at the numerical changes in Wisconsin public library collections in 9-year increments:  1996, 2005, and 2014.

The ax fell hard on the Amery materials budget in 2011.

• $60,402 total expenditures in 2010  (total expenditures, $365,975)
• $31,626 total expenditures in 2011  (total expenditures, $364,074)

 Most of the difference is attributable to an increase in the salaries/wages and benefits budget lines.
