Are These Two Contributions to Bill Kramer Still Worth Anything?


You remember Bill Kramer, right?


Apparently, they still have some value.

And Todd Gray, superintendent of the Waukesha School District is asking for a one-year waiver from the new exam without a penalty on his school and district report cards, according to a Feb. 12 letter sent to the Department of Public Instruction. 

Whether either idea could put hundreds of millions of federal education dollars at risk for Wisconsin is unclear. 

Sen. Paul Farrow (R-Pewaukee) is working on fast-tracking a bill through the Legislature that would give districts a one-year waiver from having to report student results on the new exams, his spokesman said Monday.
