Did you know there's also a Water Tower Place in Monona, Wisconsin?

Take that, Chicago

But all Monona's version has going for it is this eye-catching, trapezoidal design.

And the fact that its roof could double as a slide.

After 28 years of countless drives past this building, I decided to stop and take a closer look.

Outside and in.

Apparently, there's some disagreement as to the size of the building

Property Drive sez 41,792 square feet, although a question mark accompanies this figure.

Loopnet puts it at 26,1576 square feet.

I'd definitely to with the lower number.
.

The building first opened in 1984 and was designed by Helmut Ajango, who is probably best known for the Gobbler Supper Club and Motel in Johnson Creek, WI.
