As Seen on Many Newsstands but in Few Libraries in the 1970s



I worked in a prison library during my first year out of University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Library and Information Studies (GSLIS).  Couldn't keep enough of these titles on the shelves, and a local newsstand, which provided a generous discount, kept the library well stocked. 

In retrospect, it's amazing that I was given so much collection development leeway.
