How the ratings are determined by National Journal. The publication calls itself "fiercely honest and scrupulously nonpartisan", although I have to confess I'm not familiar enough with its content to know if this is a candid self-assessment.
Jyotishi doesn't elaborate on how he reached his conclusions as to who sits to the left or right of whom.
