Be Sure to Share That Tub of Popcorn

New FDA rules will put calorie counts on menus.   (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 11/25/2014)

No refill, please.
Whether they want to or not, consumers will soon know how many calories they are eating when ordering off the menu at chain restaurants, picking up prepared foods at supermarkets and even eating a tub of popcorn at the movie theater.

Popcorn's Dark Secret.  (The New York Times, 11/19/2009)

Movietime buzzkill.
A large tub of popcorn at Regal Cinemas, for example, holds 20 cups of popcorn and has 1,200 calories, 980 milligrams of sodium and 60 grams of saturated fat. Adding just a tablespoon of butter adds 130 calories. And do not forget that it comes with free refills.
