Lost Wisconsin: You Won't Forget the Name After Viewing This Commercial

On Wisconsin: Meet the man with optimism and financial wherewithal to revive the Gobbler. (Wisconsin State Journal, 6/15/2014)

The Gobbler Supper Club, 1969-1992.   Clarence Hartwig, a local turkey farmer, spent $1 million to build and open the Helmut Ajango-designed Gobbler in 1969 along with the Gobbler Hotel up the hill. The business drew crowds from Milwaukee, Madison, Lake Geneva and northern Illinois, and it wasn’t uncommon for Milwaukee Brewers or Bucks players to be spotted at the restaurant.
