David Draws a Crowd


Michelangelo's "David" is the primary reason to visit the Accademia Gallery, to which a continually milling crowd of people in this area of the museum attests.


Note the "selfie" in the above photo.  And the curious expressions on a few faces, as if to ask, "Why is that guy taking a picture of me."

It's just Retiring Guy's way.


Clearly, though, Mona Lisa remains the biggest draw in the museum world.  (Photos from Dec. 2011)
