Not Much Power There at $10.29 per Hour

Retail sector powers Wisconsin job growth in April.  (Capital Times, 5/16/2014)

At the lower end of the pay scale.  April was a good month for retail trade employment in Wisconsin. The state added 3,100 jobs in that sector and 7,600 private-sector jobs overall, according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics preliminary estimates.

The second bigger gainer:  Leisure and hospitality jobs, a gain of 2,500.  For production and non-supervisory employees, this category pays an average of $11.96 per hour in April 2014, or $24,877 annually.
