Christmas 1937 in Rockford, Illinois

76 years ago, my dad was a junior at (Tiny) Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. (He was the youngest of 7 children and the first in his family to attend college.) He received a camera and, I suspect, a 15 1/2 x 11 1/4 black "Kodakphotos" scrapbook as gifts. Probably the only ones he received that year. The heading on page 1 of the scrapbook, which includes descriptions written in white ink: "The first group of photos taken with my Kodak."

(Anyone else think my Aunt Lila looks a little bit like Barbara Stanwyck?)
