partisans regarding the state economy were relatively similar. Figure 5 shows that while economic
evaluations among political independents have remained stable since last quarter, Democrats are
increasingly likely to express a negative view of the state’s economic performance, while Republicans have
become increasingly likely to give a more positive response.
