Reeves said revenue sources for the new library will come from the city’s general fund “and no new taxes will be used.” <
“What has been built is much more than a traditional book facility,” Reeves said. “There has been great interest in a new library for the downtown area, and we can’t wait for our new one to open.”
Troy was one of thousands of small towns around America that benefited from a Carnegie Library, named for philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, between 1883 and 1929.
