Budget Constraints Lead to Reduced Hours at Cranford Public Library
In balancing the books, Cranford library hours are cut. (Cranford Chronicle, 2/7/2011)
Excerpt: Holding out hope for the future, Malar said he is optimistic that the library would be able to restore hours of operation in coming years as the township’s finical prospects improve. To that end, he said the library would continue to have online resources available to library card holders even when the library is closed, “including interlibrary loan service, the library’s online catalog, which has options for renewing and reserving items, free audiobook and ebook downloads from ListenNJ, the Cranford Achive, and dozens of information-packed reference databases.”
