Excerpt: The Stoughton Library Board has begun searching for a new library director following the resignation of Jaime Vache.
Vache, who has been the director for about two and a half years, is leaving to take a new position with the Madison Public Library.
“It’s bittersweet,” Vache said. “It’s really hard to leave.”
Vache has worked at the library for about five and a half years.
“It’s been a pleasure to serve the Stoughton community,” Vache said, “and to work with the library staff here.”
The board expects to fill the position next spring. Until then, former library director Pat Chevis will serve as part-time director.
A position announcement will be released during the week of December 13th.
