2020 Wisconsin elections: Who's running in the 63rd Assembly District

  • Spear Mamie S Mrs; clerk New Process h505 Park Avenue

It was all downhill for Mamie during the 1900s.  She started out with a run of 13 years (1900-1912) in the top 100, peaking at #59 in 1900.  Curiously, her decline accelerated during the Eisenhower administration, and after 1966 she dropped out of sight and has yet to be heard from again.

Spike in South Korea virus cases shows perils of reopening.  (Omaha World Herald, 5/27/2020)
In South Korea, 40 newly confirmed cases — the biggest daily jump in nearly 50 days — raised alarms as millions of children returned to school Wednesday.
All but four of the new cases were in the densely populated Seoul region, where officials are scrambling to stop transmissions linked to nightclubs, karaoke rooms and a massive e-commerce warehouse. All were reopened last month when social distancing measures were relaxed.

The number of active cases in South Korea peaked on March 11 -- 79 days ago.

The U.S. is still peaking.

Georgia has been more aggressive, allowing gyms and salons to open April 24, followed days later by theaters and restaurants. Yet, Georgia’s daily case numbers dropped steadily from 673 on May 1 to just over 300 this week. Those numbers are preliminary, however, as some test results may not be back yet.

New cases for the week of May 18-24 are up 13% over the previous week.  It was the largest number of new cases in a single week since April 12-18.
