Dear PolitiFact, It's a calculated use of a racist dog whistle and doesn't deserve a mushy rating of 'half true'

Original 3/2/2020 post, "GET ME REWRITE:  Robin Vos blows on his dog whistle until he's blue in the face", starts here.

Statement:  Tougher on crime vetoes.  (The Wheeler Report, 3/2/2020 press release)

As for that last silent shriek, Governor Evers is simply addressing one of Scott Walker's negative legacies.

Hard road ahead for Gov. Tony Evers’ promise to slash Wisconsin prison population.  (Appleton Post-Crescent, 7/2/2019)

In an interview with Wisconsin Watch, Evers expressed optimism about his ability to accomplish a major campaign promise: to reduce by 50 percent the state’s prison population, which is on course to hit an all-time high of 25,000 inmates by 2021.
While 31 states saw decreases in their prison populations from 2017 to 2018, Wisconsin is not one of them. Wisconsin’s prison system is 33 percent above capacity, with 18 of the state’s 20 adult prisons listed as overcrowded. The prisons are also understaffed, with 7,650 full-time equivalent employees working the equivalent of nearly 900 additional FTEs.

Voters need to ask His Vosness about this retrograde plan.
