UPDATE. The lights are on at Chicken Run, but nobody's home

2/4/2019 update, "R.I.P. The Chicken Run (December 2017-November 2018)", starts here.

A jinxed location for drive-through restaurants:  Chicken Run in the foreground, Sonic in the background.

The Chicken Run calls it quits in Middleton.  (Wisconsin State Journal, 11/27/2018)
"Couldn’t generate the volume of business to pay the bills," Matt Prescott, who owned the restaurant with his brother, Bobby, said via text message. "Based on the reviews that were great I would have to say it was location."
My wife and I made just one visit here.  We weren't impressed.  We think their problem was an extremely limited menu.

11/26/2017 update, "The Chicken Run is hiring and will be opening soon", starts here.

This is still the Crandall's drive-through menu.

The Chicken Run is hiring.

9/8/2017 update, "Apparently, a Chicken Run restaurant is coming to the former Crandall's location on University Avenue in Middleton", starts here.

Although I located other Chicken Run restaurants, including this one in New York's Mohawk Valley, the Middleton version appears to be a one-of-a-kind operation.

Original 7/31/2015 post, "Whatever was 'COMING in 2014" is now overdue". starts here.

This Crandall's used to be a popular Friday evening destination as a steady stream of customers slowly made their way to the drive-through window to pick up orders of what we considered the best fish fry in town.

But all is not lost.  As we recently discovered, Paul's Neighborhood Bar at 2401 Parmenter serves up a great fish fry.
